DOMOTEX 2023
Domotex 2023 made one thing clear: the “world-leading trade fair for floor cover- ings”, held in Germany, is first and foremost an exhibition of carpets and rugs. Manufac- turers of machine-woven carpets were the anchor at Domotex, who had several genuine innovations and optimizations to show the public. Handmade rugs were on display too of course, and quite a few at that; the manu- facturers and importers exhibiting in Halls 2 and 4 had a number of interesting products to show. The exhibitors were very focused on environment and sustainability across all product groups. The jute look is a rug trend as well as using undyed wool, and virtually all machine-weave manufacturers have recy- cled fibre products in their carpet collections. Many different shades of green were seen, in line with the sustainability theme, and there were carpets with out-of-the-ordinary colours and colour accents.
