The early December date was certainly not ideal, but the first-ever Marrakech Carpet Fair was nonetheless an absolute success. The plan of organising the fair to support the domestic trade worked, for those returning to their homelands after visiting this new market- place will now serve as multipliers and am- bassadors for the new Moroccan rug, un- doubtedly stimulating the entire industry.
