Heimtextil 2024 with a dedicated segment for Carpets & Rugs
Heimtextil has announced optimised hall plan- ning and a new Carpets & Rugs product segment for the fair in January 2024. Accordingly, the po- pular Hall 3 and the new Hall 5 will be reopened.
For the coming fair, the Frankfurt-based compa- ny will be expanding its portfolio to include a de- dicated product segment for carpets.
The Carpets & Rugs section will be located ex- clusively in the new Hall 5.1. Hand-made and custom-made rugs, machine-made rugs, as well as mats and clean-running systems will be pre- sented there. Rugs are traditionally an integral part of Heimtextil, and in the past have been pre- sented by manufacturers in different halls. From 2024, the range will be permanently grouped to- gether in a separate segment on an annual basis. The segment is intended to appeal to internati- onal wholesalers, DIY and home improvement stores, furniture traders, home funishing stores and specialised retailers
From 9 to 12 January 2024, visitors will also find the latest collections from the Textile Technology segment, an international range of textile desi- gners and Heimtextil Trends 24/25 in Hall 3.0. Window & Interior Decoration will be located in Hall 3.1. As usual, visitors to Heimtextil 2024 will find the popular and well-known products around Smart Bedding, Beautiful Living and Bed & Bath Fashion in Halls 10, 11 and 12 in the West Area of Messe Frankfurt.
Deutsche Messe exceeds estimates for 2022
Although trade fairs and events in Germany in 2022 could only be held from the second quarter on due to Covid restrictions, Deutsche Messe is satisfied with results for the financial year, with turnover of EUR 202 million coming in five million higher than estimated. Instead of a loss of EUR 52 million forecast at the beginning of the year, the company is expecting to record a loss of less than EUR 15 million.
In total, the organiser of Domotex and Ligna counted approxi- mately 17,000 exhibiting companies and 1.9 million visitors at 73 trade fairs in Germany and abroad during the year.
Domotex Asia 2023 postponed to July
Domotex Asia/China Floor 2023 is moving back by two months in the trade fair calendar. Instead of 29 to 31 May as previously planned, the event will now take place from 26 to 28 July. The Chi- nese floor coverings fair will also return to Shanghai for the new dates.w
