again in Shanghai
After the local authorities gave the green light at the end of October 2022, Domotex Asia/China Floor in Shen- zhen, China, went on stage at the be- ginning of November. Previously, the 24th edition of the floor coverings trade fair had been postponed several times due to Corona restrictions. In 2023, the event is planned for 29 to 31 May, then again in Shanghai.
Pakistan International Carpet Exhibition
Pakistan International Carpet Exhibition is the only international fair for handmade carpets in this major country of origin. Held in Lahore from 20 - 22 September, the 38th Pakistan ICE featured a broad cross- section of Pakistan’s carpet makers and exporters showcasing their wide-ranging products.
The well-known Pearl Continental Hotel, selected as venue in many previous years, was again chosen, partly to ensure maximum conven- ience for international buyers visiting the Exhibition. Visa issuance problems were the main reason for the modest registration number of 100 visitors from 21 different countries.
Peleton co-founders invest in rugs
With its combination of fitness equipment and online fitness courses, Peloton has quickly become a billion-dollar company. Now it is reported that co-founders John Foley, Hisao Kushi and Yony Feng have in- vested USD 25 million in rug start-up Er- nesta. Ernesta offers designer-oriented,
custom-made rugs made from a variety of materials. The goal is to provide customers with the product at the price of standard- sized rugs and also offer better buying ex- periences, according to the company’s in- troduction.
Zollanvari In-House Exhibition in January
After the success of its in-house event in early October 2022, Zollanvari has decided to open its Zurich showroom for another exhibition from 9 to 20 January. The new Gabbeh Glitch collection, which was launched in October, will be one of the highlights of the show. It is the result of the creative work of the Milan- based design studio So For So Near.
A highlight of the Zollanvari In-House exhibition in January 2023 will be the Gabbeh Glitch collection designed by Milan-based design studio So Far So Near (photo).
