Largest XXXLutz store in Austria reopened
The largest XXXLutz furniture store in Austria has been reopened after a lengthy of total renovation. EUR 11 million was invested in the 36,000 square
metre XXXL flagship store in Brunn am Gebirge near Vienna. “The new XXXLutz is the new flag- ship store of the XXXLutz Group, which bundles the latest trends and finds from all over Europe, offered within one big furniture store.”, says com- pany spokesman Mag. Thomas Saliger.
All the display furniture has been repositioned and supplemented with the latest product ranges. A special highlight is the separate “Carry Home” department in the basement of the shop, where the latest Young Living trends are displayed. Here, all aspects of modern, affordable and young living – from dining to living to sleeping – are united on a 3,700 sqm of salesfloor space.
A large-scale photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of the store, which generates 500,000 kilowatt hours per year. The system’s output is suf- ficient to supply the whole building; excess energy is fed into the grid. The entire lighting system was converted over to environmentally friendly LED technology. The remodelling and expansion will also create about 80 new jobs at the site.
